The co-managers are responsible for the day to day operations of the shop. This includes interviewing, hiring, and training; scheduling; developing skills and techniques of the crew; some back-office work at the beginning and the end of the day; and most importantly, they are responsible for building the culture and values of the shop by leading from the front. Co-managers should work with one another as well as with the crew to foster a positive environment for each other and for the clients. Outside of those duties, the co-managers will also take clients while they are working.
A good manager is going to be a cutter that the rest of the team looks up to and depends on for technical and service advice. They will have a strong set of values as it relates to: work ethic, honesty, integrity, and punctuality. They will be relatively drama free as it relates to the barber shop and their work environment. They will need to have flexible availability and be able to work nights and weekends with reliable transportation. This is a full-time position of 35 to 40 hours per week.
